I'm new to LearnVest and having trouble linking my accounts. Any tips?

If you're having trouble linking your accounts, please make sure to check the following:
 
  • Be sure you're connecting to the appropriate type of account. We have separate listings for your credit card, bank account, mortgage, and loan. Even if you hold these all at the same institution and use the same security credentials to access them at your end site. For example, if you have a credit card and a bank account with Bank of America, be sure you're connecting to both "Bank of America - Credit Card" and "Bank of America - Bank."  
 
  • We recommend typing in a keyword to the Connect Your Accounts search bar, and then clicking on the appropriate account in the list of text results. If you clicked on an icon for a popular account and it has been spinning for a while, the link might be outdated. Instead, try searching for the account and connecting to the text result instead. 
 
  • For some institutions, you may need to answer additional security questions. In some cases, you'll need to scroll down to see the additional questions asked - Sallie Mae, for example, requires that you enter your birthdate. Some institutions also require an access code, or will ask you to log in directly from your institution (e.g., on Navient's website) to accept a set of terms & conditions first. CapitalOne / ING, for example, requires an access code, which you can generate by following these instructions.
